Apartment issues...

So our soon-to-be landlords still couldn't tell us when the old tenants were moving out, so I stopped by after dinner at a reasonably good Mexican place near Harvard with Natalie (high school friend studying pharmacy at Northeastern)...anyhow, I went by the apartment and was able to speak to one of the current tenants...it did not go as hoped. The jist is that they're not going to be able to move into their next apartment until September 1st, so they're not planning on moving out until September 1st AND the guy I talked to is working on the 1st, so he said he won't move until the evening...OF THE @()*%)(!*)(!)!#$! day we were supposed to move in. I guess I'm becoming passive aggressive or something because I just sort of heard this and then headed back to my apartment.

Needless to say this is a pretty big problem, particularly for Steve who has movers and furniture arriving from out-of-state that are currently showing up next Friday to an apartment that will not only be uncleaned but also still have the previous tenants' crap in it. Steve's going to talk to the landlord and see if we can work something out, but next weekend sounds like it's shaping up to be a royal pain in the butt.

I think I need to stop having expectations/plans for what I do during my evenings. Today was the 2nd day in a row that I hoped to relax with some time to myself and some Dawn of War (computer game) or perhaps a bit of the Outlaws of Sherwood a very good rendition of Robin Hood that I'm borrowing from Tori. It was also the 2nd day that this didn't happen because of other things consuming the time - those other things were fun and enjoyable in their own right, but I'm again a little sad that I'm going to bed without legitimately relaxing as originally planned for the second day in a row. Time management skills...looks like my personal life and expectations need more of them.

Okay enough of my rant for the evening.

Ann Marie is coming up this weekend! So she, Emma, Maruta and I are going out for dimsum on Saturday morning and at least Ann Marie, Emma, and I will be catching a romantic comedy together. Should be good times.
